Governor Kemp to issue state of emergency as authorities prepare for Hurricane Ian

GEORGIA — FOX5 indicates Governor Kemp will issue a state of emergency that will go into effect at 7AM on Thursday, September 29 as authorities prepare for Hurricane Ian. The order will be declared to increase accessibility to emergency resources as needed following the impacts of the hurricane. Reports indicate that the declaration will expire at midnight on Friday, September 30th. The storm is a Category 3 hurricane moving north at around 10MPH with winds of up to 115MPH.
