It A Sad Day In Baton Rouge Louisiana

Today we remember the Baton Rouge Law Enforcement Officers that paid the ultimate sacrifice on July 17, 2016.  Six Law Enforcement Officers were ambushed and 3 of which lost their lives.

Please keep their loved ones in your prayers and continue to pray for our Officers who were injured.

How fitting is it that Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome declared today Law Enforcement Memorial Day? Today is the fifth anniversary of the awful ambush on our law enforcement community. Keeping their families and colleagues in my heart.

Five years ago today, we lost three brave men when law enforcement officers were attacked in Baton Rouge. Let us remember their courage and dedication to protecting their communities and let us honor their memory, their work, and the work of all who protect and serve. #lagov
