WHEN...Until Saturday, April 30. IMPACTS...At 48.0 feet, Access roads will be inundated and evacuation of all river islands must be complete. Protection of people and property in the river bottom land on the river side of the levees must be complete. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 48.5 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall briefly below flood stage this evening and stay below for a few days. However, the river is expected to rise above flood stage stage again on Wednesday, April 20 to a crest of 49.0 feet Tuesday, April 26. - Flood stage is 48.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 48.8 feet on 04/22/2014. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northwestern Ascension, southeastern West Baton Rouge, west central Livingston, eastern Iberville and East Baton Rouge Parishes through 415 PM CDT... At 342 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Baton Rouge, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Baton Rouge, Zachary, Baker, Denham Springs, Plaquemine, Port Allen, Oak Hills Place, St. Gabriel, Walker, Addis, Brusly, White Castle, Westminster, Watson, Shenandoah, Greenwell Spring, Old Jefferson, Merrydale, Inniswold and Prairieville. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 144 and 172. Interstate 12 between mile markers 1 and 19.
